In 1954 it was born in Bologna as a small artisan company starting its activity with the name Arcte, soon the company evolved into an industrial reality and the Julipet brand was created from the merger of the surnames of the two founding partners, Giuliani and Pettazzoni

​ Julipet thus became the market leader and in this context we saw the birth of the "double knit" fabric that marked the men's underwear market and still today among the best sellers of the company.
